West Jesmond College Boat Club are listed in the 1948 Northern Amateur Rowing Council register of Clubs. Not a great deal is known about them but the driving force appeared to be coming from a Mr. T. Ritzema, who was also a prominent member of South Shields Amateur Rowing Club.
